With four generations in the workplace, and soon to be five, the flighty Y generation born (1980 -2000) want be in leadership in the next 5 years. Time Magazine thinks they will change the world.
Why the gen Xers (1965 to 1979) because of their lack of flexibility are most likely to be left behind, frustrated & undervalued in the workplace. The sad fact is gen Xers are ready to lead and with the babyboomers turning 70 years old in 2020. The gap for leadership will be wide, it has never been a better time to reinvent yourself so you can lead in the workplace.
Great leaders however are always the ones who serve others and empower them to be better.
